May I Borrow Your Faith-O-Meter?

I was being myself, stirring up trouble on the old Twitters, when this lady decided to rant some stuff at me in a 4 tweet series. I'll give you some context after you read the quote.

Note, from browsing her Twitter feed, it seems she doesn't always Tweet in all caps. She must have been especially angry at me during this rant.

"Ur support 4 GAY RIGHTS IS N DRCT OPPOSITN 2 UR TWEET ABT FAITH W/O WKS IS DEAD AS ROMANS 1 CLEARLY DEFINES IT AS UNNATURAL AFFECTION WORTHY OF DEATH! IF U HVE ACCPTED JESUS CHRIST AS UR LORD & SAVIOUR, U ND 2 REMVE URSLF FRM BY TKNG. UR BLOG STATING, "...I SOMEWHAT SUPPORT GAY RIGHTS..."..THTZ LKE SAYIN I SOMEWHT BLIEVE THT JESUS IS MY LORD & SAVIOUR! U R TLKING OUTTA 2 SIDES OF UR MOUTH, NO INSULT INTENDED! MY PT BEING JST WHT GOD'S WRD SZ, WHOM IS THE WRD THT STNDS."

Now for some context. A small, friendly interaction on Twitter happened between me and another person who is not the ranter:
The ranting lady really liked my response, so she started browsing my profile. Let's just say she came across my latest blog post about gay rights.

She found something in there she didn't like... despised even. She hated what I said so much that she decided to write out a Twitter rant in all-caps.

But worst of all, she questioned my faith. She decided that my opinion on gay rights means that I only sort-of believe in Jesus. That I am not completely saved by His grace, and that my opinions are not biblical.

How did she determine this?

She took a single political opinion of mine, that the government shouldn't define our moral boundaries on the issue of homosexuality, and she determined that only a heathen would hold such progressive opinions. That only a heathen would treat gays in a respectful manner. That only a heathen would prefer personal moral decisions to be the decision of each person.

Hold on a second though; Jesus treated sinners with respect. Jesus didn't like rules imposed upon him by the elites, and Jesus had very progressive opinion for the time period he was alive.

She couldn't have possibly have determine then, that I was "SAYIN I SOMEWHT BLIEVE THT JESUS IS MY LORD."

Unless... she owns a long distance faith-o-meter.

VU stands for 'Verified Unforgiven'

She can detect, from her location in the world, my spiritual relationship with God with such precision that she can tell just how faithful I am by a single one of my opinions on a single issue.

Sounds like a useful tool.

So to anybody out there who thinks a person's faith hinges on them agreeing with your every opinion, can I borrow your Faith-O-Meter?
